What to have ready when you call

Where the water is and where you think it is coming from. When it started and whether it is getting worse. Which fixtures are affected and in what order they went. Whether you have found and closed the main shutoff. And the rough age of the house if you know it, because a 1972 build and a 1996 build point at different materials underneath.

None of this is required. If you are standing in water and cannot answer any of it, call anyway and we will work through it on the phone. If the water is already across a floor, the restoration line is the faster route and it runs on its own number.

How calls are prioritised

Active flooding, sewage inside living space and a total loss of water go straight to the front. Those are the situations where every hour changes the final cost, and they get moved ahead of scheduled work without apology.

Everything else gets an honest position in the queue. If your problem can safely wait for morning we will say so on the phone rather than sending someone out at an after hours rate for a job that would cost less at nine the next day. A drain that is slow but still draining is almost always a next day drain cleaning job rather than a midnight one.

Where we go from a phone call

Most calls resolve into one of a handful of routes. A meter that keeps turning with the house shut off becomes leak detection. Several fixtures backing up together becomes drain work or, if it keeps returning, a side sewer problem. Water already across a floor becomes restoration, which runs on its own line.
